Blazehill secures £250m for second UK focused fund

The fund received backing from InterVest Capital to provide finance solutions for UK businesses in complex situations.

UK-based credit investor Blazehill Capital has held a close of its second fund at £250 million ($310 million; €288 million).

The fund received backing from a single investor, InterVest Capital Partners, to provide financing solutions for mid-market businesses in the UK.

The fund will invest in tickets of between £5 million and £50 million and provide secured loans for complex situations. The firm provides supportive capital to companies that need new or additional finance but cannot access traditional funding sources. Loans can be used for acquisitions, growth capital, refinancings and recapitalisations.

Blazehill launched in April 2021 and has invested in 10 UK businesses via its first fund which raised £100 million.

Tom Weedall, managing director at Blazehill, said: “This new strategic partnership with InterVest Capital Partners positions us well in continuing to support the UK’s mid-market with transformational capital, as well as working with key introducers and maintaining our strong funding partner relationships.”
