Breakaway $50m fund makes debut investment

The co-investment is the first transaction from the $50m Breakaway Capital Partners Fund.

A new $50 million fund managed by Los Angeles-based Breakaway Capital has provided a $6 million senior secured credit and equity co-investment to finance Next Point Capital’s recapitalisation of Art Brand Studios, according to a statement.

Breakaway Capital Partners Fund will focus on companies with up to $5 million of EBITDA and provide senior, subordinated and mezzanine debt, unitranche structures, structured equity and common equity transactions for both sponsored and non-sponsored transactions.
