CarVal Investors and Arrow Global have acquired a portfolio of student loans owed by approximately 250,000 borrowers, according to a statement released on Monday.
The firms acquired the loans from the UK government for £160 million. The event marks the first sale of mortgage-style student loans to the private sector, according to the statement.
