Catella strengthens Nordic corporate finance team

Magnus Lange joins from Cushman & Wakefield as real estate-focused adviser takes on seven managers and analysts

Catella has boosted its Nordic property advisory services with seven new commercial project managers and analysts at its offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmo.

The firm made the hires in response to “increasing demand for both advisory services related to capital markets and transaction advisory services”, Jesper Bo Hansen, head of Catella’s corporate finance operations in the Nordics, said.

Carl Wingmark and Magnus Lange have joined the firm’s operations in Stockholm. Both will work in senior commercial roles.

During 15 years in the industry, Wingmark has held several senior roles in the property advisory business of PwC. Lange has spent 20 years on property transactions, with both national and international investors, and joins from his previous role as head of Swedish operations at Cushman & Wakefield.

Gustaf Kullenberg, formerly of Nordea Corporate Finance, and Marco Nilsson have both been recruited as analysts in Catella’s Stockholm office. Jesper Greitz will also join to bolster the firm’s research department.

Catella has also hired two recent graduates to work as analysts: Erik Sveder, based in Gothenburg, and Flip Hansson, in Malmo.

“The transaction market is as strong as last year, and we are seeing a large number of initiatives in the capital markets. In addition, there is substantial interest from international investors, both in Sweden and around the Nordics. Our ambition is to make further recruitments in the autumn,” Hansen continued.

Founded in 1987, Catella grew during the Swedish property and banking crisis of the early 1990s and now operates in 12 countries. The corporate finance team advises on debt, equity, valuation and research, as well as transactions.
