Cornerstone bolsters European finance team

Kristina Foster has joined the firm’s European real estate finance team from RBS.

Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers Europe has appointed Kristina Foster as a director in its European real estate finance division.

Forster will be responsible for sourcing new real estate financing opportunities to expand Cornerstone’s debt business, both in the UK and in mainland Europe. Reporting to Chris Bates who heads the European real estate group, she will also assist in developing the investment strategy and marketing programme, and in structuring debt products.

In addition, she will actively source investments for Cornerstone’s existing clients.

Forster is a RICS qualified real estate banker with more than 16 years origination and restructuring experience. She joins Cornerstone from RBS where most recently she was a director in its non-core real estate division – which is tasked with the sale and run down of non-core real estate assets.

“Kristina was responsible for a c.£500 million mixed portfolio of performing and under performing loans, with additional responsibility for RBS minority equity investments with a total underlying asset value in excess of £1.2 billion,” Cornerstone said in a statement confirming her appointment. “During her time at RBS, Kristina’s personal deal flow amounted to over £1bn across UK and European loan origination and restructuring.”
