GE’s Aronson moves to HIG Whitehorse – exclusive

GE Capital’s former global head of sponsor finance has joined HIG Whitehorse as direct lending group head.  

Stuart Aronson, formerly the global head of sponsor finance at GE Capital, has joined HIG Whitehorse as direct lending group head, according to his LinkedIn profile. General Electric has by now sold off most of its GE Capital lending units and Aronson was overseeing the sales throughout last year. He was set to leave the firm at year-end 2015, as PDI previously reported.

Whitehorse is the direct lending group of private equity firm HIG Capital. The firm also runs distressed debt funds through its HIG Bayside affiliate. Aronson is based in New York with Whitehorse. The firm has 11 other offices across the US, Europe and South America.

Aronson has been with GE Capital in a variety of senior roles in different divisions since 1995 and was based in Westport, Connecticut. He didnot return a call by press time.
