So far in his second term, US President Donald Trump has made no secret of his criticisms of renewable energy and his administration is actively attempting to repeal large parts of President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, which would see the end of renewable energy subsidies.
Any long-term investor will calmly reason that political noise comes and goes, but heightened levels of scrutiny could pose a real challenge to how such infrastructure projects are financed.
