Idinvest expands team with former Tikehau exec

The mid-market asset manager has strengthened its private debt team shortly after closing on its third mezzanine fund.

Paris-headquartered Idinvest Partners has expanded its private debt team with the hiring of Valérie Ducourty as an investment director, the firm announced.

Ducourty previously took part in the launch and development of corporate lending at Tikehau Investment Management, as a manager of its debt funds. Her new role will consist mainly of deploying capital from the NOVI 2 fund, Idinvest said.

Sorian Abouz is also joining Idinvest as an analyst. He too will make debt investments for the firm.

The private debt team at Idinvest has grown to 11 professionals as a result of the new hires.

Ducourty spent most of her career in commercial banking, having held positions at Fortis Banque France and then Arkea Banque Enterprises et Institutionnels.

Abouz held analyst positions in commercial banking at Arkea Banques E&I before joining Etamine, a family holding company active in commercial real estate, distribution and small businesses.

Idinvest, which became independent from Allianz Global Investors in 2010, has €5 billion of assets under management. Last month, the firm closed on its third mezzanine fund, Idinvest Private Debt III, on €400 million, exceeding the hard-cap of €350 million.

The firm is also due to close its senior debt fund, Idinvest Dette Senior III, shortly, PDI understands. The target is €500 million but there may be some flexibility on the end figure in the range of €50 million to €100 million, Idinvest chairman Christophe Bavière, previously told PDI.
