INPRS approves $160m in commitments

The US public pension has backed two North American and Europe-focused private credit funds.

Indiana Public Retirement System has committed to private debt funds from Oak Hill Advisors and 400 Capital Management, according to an October board meeting document.

The system committed $80 million to 400 Capital Asset Based Term Fund II. The vehicle focuses on credit opportunities in residential and commercial real estate debt and the consumer and speciality finance sectors in North America and Europe.

INPRS also invested $80 million into Oak Hill Advisors Structured Products Fund II. This fund invests opportunistically across equity and CLO debt areas during distressed periods in North America and Europe.

Private credit makes up 1.8 percent of the $38.61 billion pension’s investment portfolio. As illustrated below, INPRS invests in funds with a North America or Europe focus.
