The manager’s debut interval fund is geared to wealthy individuals and will invest primarily in debt securities issued by private companies.

JPMorgan Asset Management has registered its first closed-end interval fund with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The fund, JPMorgan Credit Markets Fund, will be open to investment for wealthy individuals through broker/dealers or registered investment advisers with minimum investments of $25,000.

“We have had strong capabilities in the private credit space for many years and we’re seeing increased demand for access to these capabilities in the wealth management market,” said George Gatch, JPMorgan Asset Management CEO, in a statement.
