New Mountain appoints interim chief compliance officer

New Mountain Capital has named Karrie Jerry interim chief compliance officer (CCO), replacing Paula Bosco, who departed earlier this summer.

Bosco had served as managing director, chief regulatory counsel and CCO of New Mountain since 2011, in addition to her roles as executive officer, chief regulatory counsel, CCO and corporate secretary of New Mountain’s three business development companies (BDCs), including New Mountain Finance Corporation (NMFC), which she had held since 2009, reports PDI sister title Private Funds Management.

Bosco has been a regular speaker at PEI events, including the Private Fund Compliance Forum, for many years. New Mountain declined to comment on where Bosco has landed since leaving the firm.

In addition to taking on the interim role of New Mountain CCO in June, Jerry has also been named CCO and corporate secretary of NMFC, according to the firm’s website.

Jerry joined New Mountain as a compliance officer for NMFC in 2011. Previously, she served as a compliance associate and assistant corporate secretary at BDC Apollo Investment Corporation from 2005 to 2011. During her time at Apollo, Jerry also served in compliance and corporate governance oversight roles of Apollo’s other publicly listed funds, which included a real estate investment trust and another closed-end fund.
