PNC bank’s tech origination head moves to K1 – exclusive

George Mansour, formerly origination manager in the technology finance group at PNC Business Credit, has left the bank to join a California venture capital firm.  

George Mansour, who oversaw technology origination at PNC Business Credit in Los Angeles, has moved to K1 Investment Management as a vice president.

He worked at PNC for more than three years, leading origination and execution for PNC Business Credit’s technology finance group in the US, UK and Canada, according to his LinkedIn profile.

A PNC spokeswoman confirmed his departure and said a decision on a replacement hasn’t been made yet.

He worked on originating, structuring, underwriting and closing asset-based and leveraged cash flow credit facilities ranging from $15 million to $100 million. Before joining PNC, he spent a year at Focal Point Partners.

Prior to that, he worked in a variety of junior roles at Wells Fargo between 2006 and 2011.

K1 is based in El Segundo, California. The venture capital firm invests in software companies. K1 also offers operational consulting and research. Mansour did not return a call seeking comment.
