The global pandemic has produced a considerable amount of dislocation, and out of this has arisen the dislocation fund. There’s little doubt that these funds are substantial in number – a bfinance report counts 130 of them either in market or planned – but there’s equally little doubt that not very much is known about them.

That’s where this edition of Spotlight comes in as we explore – among other things – the different types of dislocation funds, how they might confuse investors, where they fit into portfolio construction and the fees they charge.
