Private lender Praesidian Capital has promoted Tom Duffy from associate to vice president, the firm said in a statement on Thursday.
Duffy joined Praesidian in 2012 with six years of investment banking and commercial lending experience. During his time at Praesidian, he has undertaken financial analysis, due diligence, and execution of new investments, and monitored Praesidian’s portfolio.
As a vice president, Duffy will also work with Praesidian’s European division as an investment director.
Jason Drattell, founder and managing partner of Praesidian, said: “Tom’s promotion is well deserved as he is a valuable member of the Praesidian team. We are pleased to put his expertise to work in two countries as we explore new investment opportunities.”
Praesidian Capital focusses on mezzanine financing to small and mid-sized businesses, but provides senior and subordinated capital for middle-market companies. Based in New York, the firm was established in 2002 but expanded into Europe in 2013 to explore opportunities in the UK and Germany. The firm manages more than $700 million in capital.
