Between 2008 and 2012, significant investment poured into wind and solar energy infrastructure. Many assets developed in this period, financed under the assumption of 20-30-year life cycles, are now approaching the end of their financing tenors, opening the door to more competitive refinancing options and with a wider lender base, including private credit.
