Anne Yang has joined Star Mountain Capital as a strategic investor and senior advisor, the company announced yesterday (26 April). Yang is the founder and chief executive officer of Star Mountain Advisors, a different Connecticut-based firm that provides M&A advisory services.
Prior to founding Star Mountain Advisors, Yang spent six years at Goldman Sachs where she was managing director and member of the executive office. She was also a managing director at Citibank and has held positions at Bank of America, Salomon Smith Barney, Strong Capital Management, Credit Suisse First Boston and Booz, Allen and Hamilton.
“The addition of Anne to the Star Mountain team further strengthens the bench of senior talent,” Star Mountain chief executive officer and founder Brett Hickey said in a statement. “We are thrilled to add another highly talented investor and advisor to our experienced and aligned team,” he added.
The New York based company's senior advisors include former Carlyle Group mezzanine lending business co-founder Leo Helmers and former Morgan Stanley chief executive officer John Mack . In February the company named Bob Long , former president and chief executive of OHA Investment Corporation as its president.
Star Mountain Capital is an alternative asset manager focused on lower mid-market credit investments. The company has offices in Atlanta and New Jersey and local partners in 10 locations across the US including Charlotte, Chicago, Washington D.C. and Vero Beach, Florida.
