EIF approves €30m commitment

The Fund has backed a European private debt fund.

The European Investment Fund has agreed to commit €30 million to PMI Italia II, according to a press release on the Fund’s website. PMI Italia II – managed by Finanziaria Internazionale (Finint) Investments SGR – is a private debt vehicle focused on providing subordinated loans to Italian SMEs.

The fund will select its investment pool of Italian SMEs via a structured, independent process based on cash flow stability, export orientation, transparent governance and stable, realistic development and growth plans.

As illustrated below, the European Investment Fund has made several commitments to private edbt funds with a 2019 vintage, however the commitment amounts tend to remain undisclosed.
