Investment Management Corporation of Ontario has agreed to commit $250 million to Apollo Accord Fund III B, according to a news release published in May. The commitment is part of IMCO’s recently launched Global Credit program, which focuses on providing higher risk-adjusted returns than traditional fixed income.

The C$70.30 billion asset manager has a three percent current allocation to private debt. This commitment is IMCO’s first investment with an Apollo-managed fund.

As illustrated below, the organisation allocates 30.0% of its investment portfolio to alternative asset classes.
