BLP appoints new finance head

Adam Dann has been a partner at the firm since 2006, and has led BLP's projects and infrastructure group for the last four years.

Law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner has promoted partner Adam Dann to managing partner to lead its finance department.

Dann begins his new role with effect from 10 March and will work with outgoing finance department managing partner Matthew Kellett over the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition, the firm said in a statement.

Dann has been head of the BLP's projects and infrastructure group since 2010, and has been a partner since joining the firm in 2006.

As part of his promotion he will also now sit on the firm's board.

The finance team at BLP is almost 100 lawyers strong, and includes 30 partners. It advises clients on the full range of international and domestic financial products from structured finance and securitisation to asset and real estate finance.

Notable mandates in recent years includ working with TPG and Patron Capital on their successful bid to acquire the senior €600 million loan underlying the first CMBS in Europe.Â
