Exclusive: Park Square creates CFO role

3i’s former group financial controller has joined private lender Park Square Capital as chief financial officer.

European and US private debt manager Park Square Capital has hired Andrew Haywood as chief financial officer.

Haywood, 3i’s former group financial controller, started the newly-created position, last week.

3i confirmed that Haywood had left the firm, but declined to comment on his departure. Haywood joined 3i in 1999 and became group financial controller in 2011, according to his LinkedIn profile.

London-based Park Square opted to seek a CFO as the business grew and the investment team member who had been managing finances, Antoine Lourtau, was needed back on the deal side, PDI understands.

Park Square had raised $2.4 billion for its second senior loan fund in June, with a final close of $2.6 billion over the summer, a source close to the vehicle told PDI

Park Square invests across the capital structure of leveraged companies, including senior debt, subordinated debt, distressed debt and minority equity positions. It held a first close of €675 million on its third mezzanine fund in February, as reported by PDI.
