First Avenue boosts US team

Joining from Forbes Private Capital Group, Chalian will be based in New York and will focus on project management.

Investment advisor and placement agent, First Avenue Partners, has hired Patricia Chalian as principal with responsibility for project management in North America. Chalian will be based in First Avenue’s New York office.

Chalian joins from Forbes Private Capital Group where she was a senior managing director. She was also at Forbes’ predecessor group, Guggenheim Securities, where she was global head of the due diligence / project management team.

“Patricia has built strong GP relationships throughout her career, and we look forward to her continuing this with First Avenue,” said Tavneet Bakshi, global head of project management and due diligence.

Chalian has also worked in marketing and investor relations at Apollo Management and was a vice-president in JPMorgan Private Bank’s alternative investments group. She has also held positions with Evercore Partners and Lehman Brothers.

The firm has another US office in San Francisco as well as offices in London and Sydney.
