Greystone has opened an office in Birmingham, Alabama, the firm announced in a statement on Wednesday.
“We see opportunity in that particular region, in the Southeast. And we have some great talent down there,” Greystone spokesperson Karen Marotta told Private Debt Investor.
The office will be led by executive vice president Joe Mosley. Mosley was unavailable for comment at press time.
The firm has hired a team of origination and credit professionals to oversee real estate opportunities presented in the Southeastern US.
Vincent Langan will join the firm as a director. His focus will cover several Greystone platforms, including agency, bridge and proprietary lending.
Earlier this week, Greystone announced that it had hired Jeff Elm as a managing director within its portfolio lending group. Elm will work under Marty Lanigan, who leads the firm’s portfolio lending group.
Greystone’s financing options include Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, bridge, mezzanine and property loan products. Greystone specialises in the multi-family real estate and healthcare sectors.
