UK-based wealth manager LJ Partnership has hired an ex-Santander executive to head up credit in its structured finance team.
LJ Partnership, which offers clients direct investments specialised in real estate and private debt instruments, has appointed Alan Aimers as a director and head of credit and said he brings more than 40 years of commercial banking experience to the business.
Aimers spent five years at Santander as head of credit risk for real estate, social housing and property risk management.
He joins LJ Partnership’s structured finance team, led by Susan Geddes, and will focus on developing the firm’s services within the credit asset class. He will enable LJ Partnership to grow its real estate strategy and offer debt products to clients, opening up new avenues for investment.
Aimers has experience across transaction assessment, deal negotiation, structuring, credit assessment and risk management.
The firm has approximately $14 billion of assets under management, around half of which is in real estate assets. Its clients include high net worth individuals, family offices, foundations and charities.
