White Oak boosts origination team

Speciality lender White Oak has hired Allan Marzen to originate and underwrite new deals.

White Oak Global Advisors has hired Allan Marzen as managing director of originations.

Marzen will be based in the firm’s New York office and be responsible for originating and underwriting new investment opportunities for White Oak’s private debt funds in the US.

Marzen has more than 20 years’ experience in banking and commercial finance, as well as in business operations and management evaluation.

Darius J. Mozaffarian, partner and head of originations, said: “His experience in operations strengthens our capabilities in reaching out to new clients, and his work will help us reinforce our reputation as a leading originator of debt financing for middle market companies to support growth.”

White Oak had not responded to a request for comment at press time. 

Prior to his new appointment, Marzen was senior vice president of loan originations with Wells Fargo Capital Finance. He also previously held positions at AloStar Business Credit and First Niagara Commercial Finance.

White Oak has 40 professionals in San Francisco, New York and Dallas and $1 billion AUM. The firm lends to small and middle market corporate clients and has more than 80 direct debt investments.
