3i Debt Management, the London-based corporate debt manager, has hired Shane Miller as a marketing director in its New York office. His appointment is meant to bolster 3iDM’s client development and investor relations capabilities on this side of the Atlantic.
Miller has six years of marketing and investor relations experience and joins from the institutional client services team Angelo, Gordon & Co., an alternative investment firm in New York that handles private equity, private debt and real estate strategies. “[Miller] has a strong network of long-standing relationships with leading investment consulting firms and institutional investors, which will enable 3iDM to widen its investor reach in the US,” said a statement from 3i.
Prior to Angelo, Gordon, Shane worked in equity research at the now defunct bank Bear Stearns. He has also held analyst roles in the retail industry and began his career in investment banking at Lehman Brothers, which had also shut down during the financial crisis.
“We are pleased to welcome Shane to 3iDM and our growing team of marketing professionals, which now stands at six people based in the UK, US and Asia. We continue to grow the 3iDM business at a rapid pace, as demonstrated by the $4 billion of new investor capital we’ve raised in the last two years. We look forward to working with Shane to help expand our business further,” Jeremy Ghose, 3i Debt Management’s chief executive, said in a news release.
