Apera Capital has provided unitranche financing to support a deal in the German technology sector.
The deal will see Ostertag Group acquire DeTeWe Communications from telecoms provider Mitel for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition was first announced in March.
DeTeWe is a systems integration business founded in Berlin in 1887. It has an existing relationship with Walddofhäslach-headquartered Ostertag and the acquisition represents a strategic move for both companies.
Apera said the unitranche debt package has been tailored to address the operational and strategic needs of Ostertag Group. The transaction has the support of Ostertag’s management team and equity investor VR Equitypartner.
The deal is Apera’s first transaction in Germany after it opened an office in Munich earlier this year.
Thomas Nebe, CFO of Ostertag Group, said: “Apera’s experienced investment team…. has provided us with a flexible financing solution in a very short time frame. This partnership will enable us to successfully complete the acquisition and to pursue our long-term strategy for the company.”
