Arrowpoint Partners, which hired two direct lending experts last year, has continued to expand its team with the addition of more senior credit professionals.
Lee Shaiman recently started in the firm’s structured credit/CLO business, while Will Ziglar and Greth Lester joined in late spring to deepen the business development effort.
Shaiman left Blackstone-owned GSO Capital Partners in December, where he was managing director for 10 years and directly involved in managing, structuring and fundraising for more than $20 billion of closed-end mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, CLOs and separate accounts.
Ziglar was previously at Amundi Smith Breeden and has worked with several Arrowpoint’s senior team members, including Shaiman, portfolio manager Sanjai Bhonsle and managing director Michael Novoseller.
Lester joined from Perella Weinberg Partners, where he held a similar role for nine years.
Denver-based Arrowpoint, a multi-strategy asset management firm with $8.6 billion in assets under management, focuses on non-sponsored deals and companies in the $3 million-$50 million EBITDA range.
The firm began its direct lending activities in 2012 and later hired Novoseller and Vipul Shah, previously managing directors at Brightwood Capital Advisors, in February last year to formalise the effort.
Arrowpoint is currently investing from its own money, but plans to launch a fund for third-party capital soon, PDI understands.
