Boston Retirement System approves $15m to stressed debt

The US public pension system invests in distressed debt in Europe.

Boston Retirement System approves to commit $15 million to Alcentra Clareant Strategic Credit Fund, a distressed and special situation fund that invests in European corporates.

The board of the retirement system selected Alcentra from two other managers, namely Orchard Global Asset Management and Permira Debt Managers.
