Cairn Capital adds Bockelmann and Farmer to business development

Nordic, German and North American markets are all growth targets for Cairn’s new appointments.

Cairn Capital has hired two credit professionals to join its business development team.

Melissa Bockelmann and Zachary Farmer will join the Cairn team to broaden its coverage of the Nordic region, Germany and North America.

Bockelmann joins from 3i Debt Management where she was responsible for European fundraising. Before 3i she worked in sales and trading for Cantor Fitzgerald and also spent time at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in structured credit. Her career began at AXA Investment Managers working on high yield credit fund management.

Farmer most recently held a business development role at Camares Capital, a long/short credit manager in London. Before that he spent three years at New Holland Capital in New York, where he was responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating and structuring hedge fund investments.

Bockelmann will focus on the Nordic and German markets while Farmer will work closely with Manuel Delgado, a business development director who has overall responsibility for US markets, to grow Cairn’s North American business.
