CalPERS approves $150m commitment

The US public pension has backed a North America- and Western Europe-focused fund.

In November, California Public Employees' Retirement System committed $150 million to Carlyle Strategic Partners IV, a buyout fund, as disclosed in its February meeting agenda.

The $307 billion US public pension has a 19 percent current allocation to alternatives.
