UK-based advisory firm Cavendish Corporate Finance announced a string of recent appointments including hiring Kate Gribbon from Deloitte Corporate Finance. Gribbon worked within the consumer business M&A advisory team at Deloitte focusing on disposals and acquisitions of branded mid-market companies.
Deals that Gribbon has recently worked on include the refinancing of cosmetics brand Illamasqua, the sale of HMV Group plc to Hilco and the sale of Enotria Group to BlueGem Capital Partners.
The sell-side M&A advisory firm has also hired senior researcher David Harris from PWC where he spent 15 years working in M&A research. He also has experience from Barings, Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and London Business School.
Joining from Fidelity Worldwide Investments is Victoria Clarke. Clarke, a chartered accountant, worked on investment strategies and analysing long-term sustainable opportunities. The firm has also hired Nathan Harroch as an analyst.
The firm has advised on seven company sales so far this year including the sale of Naked Wines to Majestic Wine and the sale of Rex Features to NYSE-listed Shutterstock, the commercial digital imagery and music provider, according to a statement.
Cavendish was founded in 1988 and has advised on more than 500 company sales. Typical transactions range between £10 million ($15 million; €13.5 million) to more than £250 million.
