Connecticut Retirement approves $50m commitment

The US public pension has backed a North America-focused fund.

Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds has approved a commitment of up to $50 million to Balance Point Capital Partners III, which will focus on private debt and equity co-investments in lower middle market North American companies.

The $33 billion US public pension has a 49 percent allocation to alternatives including private debt.
