CVC Credit Partners has hired a former BNP Paribas leveraged finance specialist to grow its French origination capabilities.
Hamza Filali joins CVC’s European private debt team as a director and will be based in the firm’s Paris office. He will originate private debt investment opportunities in France and report to Neale Broadhead, head of European private debt.
He joins CVC from BNP Paribas where he spent 12 years in the leveraged finance team in both London and Paris. Before joining BNP he spent three years at Deloitte in Paris including in its M&A transaction services group.
Commenting on his appointment, Filali said: “Private debt is a rapidly growing sector of the French market and an important part of the CVC Credit Partners business. I am looking forward to working closely with Neale and the team to develop our platform in France and continental Europe.”
CVC Credit Partners said it has also recently expanded its teams in Germany and the UK to support the growth of its European lending platform.
