Deloitte hires banker for capital markets team

Accounting and business advisory firm, Deloitte, has appointed Chris Nicholls as a partner in its equity capital markets team, according to a statement.

Nicholls joins from JPMorgan Cazenove where he was an executive director and was hired for his corporate finance experience and background. 

“We feel the time is right to strengthen the depth of our team, with Chris joining to lead and bolster our independent financial advisory proposition and to enhance our general PLC advisory offering to clients,” said head of equity capital markets, John Hammond.

Nicholls’ career has spanned a variety of institutions including Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, Lehman Brothers and most recently JPMorgan Cazenove.

Hammond noted in the statement that Deloitte anticipates a recovery from recent turbulence in the IPO market.
