DPIP considers senior debt to cushion against market downturn

The Japanese investment firm sticks to Asian energy investments and might seek buffer for economic doom.

Daiwa PI Partners Co.(DPIP) said it will maintain its investment focus on energy sector in Japan and Southeast Asia region.

It stressed that the risk-return balance is the major consideration of investment and it might increase the portion of senior loan in its portfolio to prepare for possible economic downturn.
