GE brings on award winning sell-side TMT analyst

The Norwalk, CT-based lender has hired a sell-side analyst for its TMT group.   

GE Capital has hired Raj Seth as a managing director and senior technology analyst in its telecom, media and technology group in Norwalk, CT. Seth was previously an analyst at Cowen & Co, where he covered a range of technology sectors for over 15 years. Prior to that, he was a strategy consultant at The Parthenon Group in Boston and a chip designer at LSI Logic. 

 “Given strong and increasing interest from our private equity sponsors and corporations in the tech space, this is the perfect time to add Raj to our tech lending business,” Mark Bernier, senior managing director of TMT and leader of the technology and telecom teams at GE Capital, said in a statement. 

The TMT group at GE provided over $5.5 billion in 59 deals last year. The TMT business is a mid-market financing provider that focuses on corporate growth, acquisitions and balance sheet re-financing to companies in cable, towers, data centers, wireless, metro fiber, radio, TV, digital media, education services and software. It also finances tech service providers to these industries.  

GE Capital in general deals in mid-market financing and commercial loans. Some of its other channels include corporate financing, equipment financing, retail credit financing, aviation financing, energy financing and investing, healthcare financing and commercial real estate financing.
