Greystone Bassuk JV adds an MD

Jeffrey Levien will be tasked with expanding real estate advisory and structured finance services from New York to all of the US.

Jeffrey Levien has joined the Greystone Bassuk Group in New York as a managing director. In this new role, he will focus on strategic real estate consulting and advisory services, as well as assisting with the development of structured finance products for owners and developers of multifamily real estate, Greystone announced yesterday. His addition will expand these kinds of services to developers nationwide from just New York, a spokeswoman told PDI.

Prior to joining Greystone, Levien was a partner at Street-Works Development, where he directed a variety of real estate investments and developments. He has also served as co-founder and principal of Scott-Lawrence Realty & Development Corp., and as an attorney at Camhy, Karlinksy & Stein LLP, which is now Greenberg Traurig.

Levien reports to Richard Bassuk, head of the Greystone Bassuk Group. “As our relationship with Greystone grows deeper and our capabilities expand, we are thrilled to have Jeff join the team. With his diverse background in multiple asset classes and work in other cities around the US, Jeff can help structure financing for developers as part of a more expansive and national effort,” Bassuk said in a statement.

Greystone Bassuk is a joint venture between Greystone, a mortgage finance provider, and The Bassuk Group, a real estate intermediary finance and advisory firm. The JV provides a variety of debt and equity financing and advice to real estate owners and developers.
