Happy holidays!… and please don’t forget to vote

Our awards process is in full swing and we have already received a strong response to our poll. There is still time to add your votes to the tally.

It’s that time of year again as, amid mounting excitement, thoughts turn to the big day and whether you will receive the gifts you desire. Yes, it’s the Private Debt Awards 2021 and you can find our poll HERE.

Whatever you think of forecasts and models, we can confidently say that this year once again looks record-breaking in terms of number of votes. Last year, we reached a new high of around 10,500 and early voting suggests that beating this landmark is well within reach. To those who have already taken the time and trouble, we thank you. To those yet to participate, you have until our deadline of midnight PST on Wednesday 12 January 2022.

One record that has already been broken this year is the number of awards categories, with a new high of 53. Some of the new categories reflect the growing importance of private debt in Asia-Pacific. We also have new regional and global awards recognising the rapid advances that have been made in the area of responsible investment.

Our regular Friday Letters will return in the New Year. In the meantime, we would like to wish all our readers a highly enjoyable and relaxing holiday period. We’re sure you still have a lot to do, whether it’s putting the finishing touches to a transaction or putting up the festive decorations. But do make sure you reserve just a little time to cast your all-important votes.
