HMEPS approves $40m commitment

The $2.6 billion US public pension backs a global distressed debt fund.

The Houston Municipal Employees’ Retirement Fund (HMEPS) approved a $40 million commitment to Summit Partners Credit Fund III at last Friday’s board meeting, spokesman Peter Koops confirmed via email.

The $2.6 billion US public pension has a 38% allocation to alternative investments.
