Asset manager Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) has appointed Malcolm White to its UK distribution team. White joins from the investment management arm of UK-based insurer Legal & General (L&G).
As head of fixed income distribution at L&G, White was responsible for relationships with investment consultants and key UK institutional investors, ICG said. He has worked across both liquid and illiquid strategies and was responsible for L&G’s fixed income distribution strategy.
In his ten years at L&G, White’s roles included the position of co-head of credit and four years as senior credit fund manager. He was also head of credit at First State Investments following roles at Swiss private bank Lombard Odier and German landesbank Bankgesellschaft Berlin.
White will report to Michael Biereth, head of UK and Scandinavian distribution, and work alongside Kalyani Jani.
ICG closed its sixth mezzanine vehicle on €3 billion last week, as reported.
The London-headquartered firm grew third-party fee-earning assets under management by 17 percent, from €15.7 billion to €17.9 billion between 31 March and 30 June. Total assets under management stood at €20.2 billion, as of 30 June.
