ICG makes two senior real estate debt hires

The hires will aim to grow ICG’s presence as a mid-market real estate lender across Europe.

Intermediate Capital Group’s real estate arm has appointed two managing directors to expand its European debt platform.

Philippe Deloffre and Aisling McCarthy both join ICG’s partnership capital strategy and each brings more than 20 years’ experience.

Deloffre is based in Paris and will take responsibility for leading European (ex UK) origination and investment for both the partnership capital and senior debt strategies. He joins from BNP Paribas Asset Management where he was head of real estate debt. He also previously worked as head of real estate debt at ACOFI Gestion and was also head of France debt advisory at CBRE.

McCarthy will be based at ICG’s offices in London and will focus on working with UK, North American and Irish sponsors investing across Europe. She joins from Coimmvest, a tech-enabled commercial real estate lending platform. She has also held roles including executive director of the Swiss national bank stabilisation fund at UBS and was a director in the real estate finance EMEA team at UBS Investment Bank.

Martin Wheeler, co-head of ICG Real Estate, said, “Philippe and Aisling’s longstanding connections are already giving us access to interesting transactions across Europe, and their experience equips us to deliver the service and performance our clients have come to expect on a pan-European basis.”
