IFC proposes $75m to distressed debt co-investments

The member of the World Bank Group continues its effort to support struggling businesses in Asia.

International Finance Corporation (IFC) proposed to invest $75 million in a distressed-focused co-investment vehicle, called DARP SPV CW2.

IFC’s $75 million proposed investment will consist of $25 million for junior debt and $50 million for senior debt. Clearwater Capital Partners will also contribute an additional $75 million to the vehicle.

The vehicle will be managed by Clearwater Capital Partners and it will be invested in distressed and special situations assets in Asian emerging markets, including China, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
