IFM Investors taps Hastings exec in New York

Joseph Braun joins the Australian infrastructure debt manager as an associate director of North American debt investments.

IFM Investors has expanded its debt investing team in its New York office with the addition of Joseph Braun, who joins the Melbourne-headquartered firm from Hastings Funds Management. He started on 13 July.

Braun serves as one of two associate directors of North American debt investments and report to Rich Randall, the global head of debt investment, IFM announced. Braun’s responsibilities include originating and managing infrastructure debt investments for institutions.

Most recently, Braun worked on originating and executing infrastructure debt transactions at Hastings, another Melbourne-headquartered infrastructure manager. He also held positions at BBVA Compass and RBC Capital Markets.

Randall is also relatively new to his position at IFM. Before becoming the global head of debt investment in early May, Randall served as the executive director of debt investment. Robin Miller, who held the global head title before Randall, transitioned into a senior advisor role, while chairing IFM’s investment committee.
