INPRS approves $100m in commitments

The Indianapolis-based public pension has backed two private debt vehicles managed by Solar Capital Partners.

Indiana Public Retirement System has confirmed $100 million-worth of private debt commitments to a pair of vehicles managed by Solar Capital Partners, a contact at the pension informed Private Debt Investor. The commitments comprise of $50 million apiece to SCP Private Corporate Lending Fund and SCP Specialty Finance Debt Fund.

The $37.48 billion US public pension has a 0.90 percent allocation to private debt.

As illustrated below, INPRS has made ten commitments to private debt vehicles with a 2018 or 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $1.09 billion.
