KKR hires for Asian debt team

Diane Raposio’s appointment is KKR’s second senior Australian hire this year, following the recent appointment of Carlyle Group’s vice-president Leigh Oliver as a principal.

US buyout firm KKR has bolstered its debt arm by hiring Deutsche Bank's Diane Raposio as managing director of its client coverage and capital markets team in Australia, according to a statement.

Raposio worked previously as head of leveraged debt capital markets at Deutsche Bank, where she’d been since 2009. Prior to that, she was managing director at Barclays and UBS in London.

In her new role she will be responsible for structuring, syndication and distribution of Australia and Asia-originated debt and equity products and placements, as well as maintaining client relationships with KKR's Client & Partner group.

She reports to Justin Reizes, head of KKR Australia, and will commence her new role in May.

Deutsche has already replaced Raposio with Marla Heller, the bank’s head of credit portfolio strategies in Asia, the Wall Street Journal reported.
