Korea NPS hires new CIO

The KRW643.4 trillion South Korean public pension scheme appointed new CIO after leaving the position vacant for more than one year.

The National Pension Service of Korea (NPS) has named Hyo-Joon Ahn as the chief investment officer, which filled the 15-month-long vacancy after Myoun-Wook Kang’s resignation in July 2017.

Ahn was the former president of BNK Financial Group. He had formerly served in the NPS as a chief of overseas securities and a manager of stock management.
