Kotak Investment Advisors has held a first close on $1.3 billion for Kotak Strategic Situations Fund II.

Capital raised for the fund will be used to provide both equity and debt capital, as well as hybrid capital in growth and value companies with a sector-agnostic approach. The fund is targeting a final close on $1.6 billion.
