Howard Sharp, Piers Dennison and Andrew Haywood have all been promoted to partner at Park Square Capital, the London-headquartered fund manager with $7 billion under management.
Sharp joined the firm last year as head of mid-market direct lending, having previously worked for GE Capital and Royal Bank of Scotland; Dennison has been head of investor relations since 2013, after previous spells at Boston Consulting Group and Candover Partners; while Haywood has been chief financial officer and chief compliance officer since 2013 after joining from 3i Group.
Meanwhile, Axel Wehtje and Sven Bozuwa have joined as vice presidents in the direct lending team. Wehtje was previously an executive director in the leveraged finance team at Goldman Sachs, while Bozuwa was an investment director at Permira Debt Managers.
“As Park Square has grown over the years we have continually focused on developing our team in order to capture the compelling opportunities we see in the private credit markets,” noted Robin Doumar, Park Square managing partner.
Park Square invests in senior debt, subordinated debt and special situations, supporting companies backed by financial sponsors in Europe and the US. Founded in 2004, the firm has offices in London and New York and last year closed its latest subordinated debt fund – Park Square Capital Partners III – on €1.2 billion.
