NXT Capital has promoted Stacia Kopplin to managing director of risk management.
Kopplin, who already held the title of director of risk management, assumes responsibility for the firm’s risk management activities, which include loan review, operational risk management, risk rating implementation and monitoring, data governance and portfolio reporting and management.
She will also become a member of the credit committee.
“Stacia’s promotion recognises the ongoing critical nature of our risk management activities as we have grown in size and complexity, and the substantial contribution she has made to our success through the years at Heller Financial, Merrill Lynch Capital and now NXT,” said Robert Radway, NXT’s chief executive.
Kopplin has been with NXT since 2011. She helped develop the company’s loan review and risk management processes, NXT said.
Prior to joining NXT, she worked at Merrill Lynch Capital, Heller Financial and GE Capital. Several of NXT’s senior executives and founders also hail from Merrill Lynch Capital and Heller. Both these lending businesses were sold to GE Capital.
Chicago-headquartered NXT provides structured financing solutions through its corporate finance, equipment finance and real estate finance groups. The firm has nine other offices in major US cities.
