NYSCRF approves commitment of €500m

The US public pension has backed a diversified European fund.

In October 2018, the New York State Common Retirement Fund committed €500 million to EQT Empire Credit Solutions – €250 million initially with an additional €250 million at the end of the fund life. The Fund targets investment strategies across the credit spectrum ranging from stressed and distressed debt, middle market financing to high-quality business and senior secured and second lien financing.

The $207.4 billion US public pension commits to private debt funds through its opportunistic alternatives portfolio.
